The Chough Bakery is a small craft bakery based at the Quayside in Padstow, Cornwall . We are a family- run business and have been trading for nearly 30 years!
We strive for perfection in everything we produce, from our range of speciality breads to our range of delicious confectionary (and not forgetting our award- winning pasties) we passionately believe in creating the most original and homecooked produce that is possible.
All of our products are handmade and crafted individually, our famous Cornish pasties are made at the shop using 100% local ingredients and filled and crimped with love, attention and pride. We believe you will not taste a better Cornish Pasty anywhere else in Cornwall, and therefore, the World!
We have recently opened a production Unit on the outskirts of Padstow, where our dedicated team of expert bakers produce all of our other produce including our speciality breads, rolls, scones, teacakes, muffins and confectionary. AS mentioned above, we are a family- run business. Elaine and Rob Ead started the business back in 1980, and Elaine has been the driving force for all of those years, they are supported by Luisa, their daughter, and Ryan Smedley, who have both been involved in the business for a number of years (Luisa has been involved for at least 10 years and Ryan since he left school at 16!). Luisa is the Retail Shops Manager and Pasty producer, whilst Ryan is the Head Baker and runs the Production Unit.
Recently the management team have been joined by Rob and Elaine's son, Greg, who after over 10 years has returned to the family business. Greg's area of expertise is online sales, website development, and online marketing.
In recent years the Chough has seen an upsurge in popularity and sales growth both online, retail and wholesale trade, we aim to continue this growth and reach more and more consumers of our delicious products. Why not join us on Facebook and interact with us directly?
